Context

Quik Pix is a one-hour photo lab serving the USC community. Known for Gazi’s warmth and speed, the shop operates as more than a service counter — it functions as a gathering point for student photographers.

Challenge

In a digital-first era, independent photo labs must compete not on scale, but on community.
How might Quik Pix strengthen its role as a creative anchor in the USC area while remaining visually distinct and community-driven?

Insight

The USC photography community already produces the brand’s most valuable asset: imagery. Rather than designing an identity around the lab, the lab could reflect the people who sustain it.

Strategy

I built a fluid identity system that integrates USC Photo Club submissions directly into the logo itself — transforming branding from static ownership into shared authorship.

Impact

Each iteration of the mark contains a photograph submitted by a member of the USC Photo Club, allowing the identity to continuously evolve with the community.

The brand does not just serve photographers — it showcases them
